Saxon Discografia

Saxon es una banda brit?nica de Heavy metal formada en 1976 en Barnsley, Yorkshire. Como virtuales l?deres de la New Wave Of British
Heavy Metal tuvieron un breve per?odo de considerable popularidad en el Reino Unido durante los ochenta, y llegaron tambi?n a probar
relativo ?xito en Europa y Jap?n. En la actualidad siguen en activo.

Sus componentes iniciales fueron Peter "Biff" Byford como cantante, Paul Quinn y Graham Oliver como guitarristas, Steve Dawson al bajo
y Pete Gill bater?a. Inicialmente se llamaron Son of a Bitch. Pasaron a ser conocidos mayormente en la gira de 1979 con Mot?rhead.
En ese a?o el grupo firm? con la casa de discos Carrere y realizaron su ?lbum Saxon. En 1980, su siguiente disco Wheels of Steel trajo
dos singles: el que da t?tulo al disco y 747 (Strangers in the Night). El ?lbum Strong Arm of the Law, considerado por los fans como
uno de sus mejores trabajos, fue realizado a continuaci?n en el mismo a?o, y sigui? cosechando ?xitos con su siguiente disco
Denim and Leather (1981). La canci?n que da t?tulo al disco es considerada como todo un himno del heavy metal de inicios de los ochenta.

A lo largo de la historia de Saxon, los cambios de componentes han sido frecuentas. Gill se fue en 1981 despu?s de herirse la mano, y
fue reemplazado por Nigel Glockler. Gill fue a parar a Mot?rhead, Dawson se fue en 1986; y Graham Oliver hizo lo mismo en 1995, siendo
reemplazado por Doug Scarratt. Desde entonces Saxon ha permanecido relativamente estable en cuanto a sus componentes. Actualmente son
